Hospital Session

I have been wanting to have someone let me come to the hospital and take their baby's first moments for some time, but not really sure how to approach someone who may feel that this is private time, I have delayed. Wednesday I finally asked my Facebook community and found someone who was gracious enough to let me in, and was headed to the hospital that very night! Talk about timing!
So, yes, I would most certainly come for your baby's first day! Session fee is the same as my portrait sessions and this one lasted only about 30 min today, but I'm willing to take longer if baby needs to eat or be changed. Thank you, JT and Brandi, for letting me be a part of your new baby girl's arrival! Congratulations!!

Album Graphics

As a few of you know already, I just bought some new graphics software. I'm SO excited!! I've been going to town on designs and ideas that have been pent up for weeks while I tried endlessly to figure out "how they do that." Now I know. :) The idea here is to be able to design albums and coffee table books, but it will add a nice punch to cards, Senior portraits and ANYTHING you can imagine.

Back to Normal

After 7 weekdays home from school, my boys finally went back today, but as most of you know, we're on an hour late schedule. Part of the county still doesn't have power. I feel very blessed. I posted as soon as our power came back on last week, but unfortunately it kept popping on and off for nearly a week. This made it very dangerous to my files to have my computer on, so I ended up staying off of it more than I wanted/needed to. I'm slowly catching up on the orders and editing requests I have on my desk. I THANK you all for your patience with me! Please don't hesitate to check up on my progress! It doesn't bother me at all.

Here is a senior session I had just before the storm and never got to publish. Chris was fun, but he was SO cold!!

Ice Storm

So, like a lot of you, we lost power Monday night late, but we did get it back on yesterday just before supper. For those of you still in the dark and in the cold...I sympathize with you! For the rest of you, I apologize for being unreachable. I've had some of my friends tell me that they can't call me. They just get a busy signal. I have ATT wireless, and those people seem to have no trouble. In the meantime, if you can't seem to get through, please feel free to text me or email me and I can call you back no problem.

Stay Warm!!!

Brady

Have I mentioned how much I LOVE my job!? No matter how many times I take pictures of a newborn, I'm always amazed at the miracle of life. Even at 2 weeks, Brady is his own little character. Most of you will rcognize his parents. I am so happy to be a part of his life and help them show how much they treasure their new little family.
These are just a few of my favorites from Saturday.

Week's Sessions

This family had me take pictures or their first baby 2 years ago. I was THRILLED when they asked me to take pictures of their second Son. I loved his hair! What a cutie pie!

This little girl was such a doll! She has such a big personality for such a tiny person. I loved working with her parents! Thanks for being so patient with me that day!

I went to Clarksville for these pictures. I have never seen a pair of kids with such BLUE eyes! They're georgous! Thanks guys for a great session!

A Lasting Impression

I've been avoiding making this post because it breaks my heart. Sadly, just before Christmas, my sister, Jenny, who's music is featured on my website, lost her fiance`. It was a shock to all of us that a heart attack could take the life of a hard-working 27 year old man. We were all blown away. Thankfully, God has granted my sister a peace that passes all understanding. She is the strongest person I know...We will all miss Joel. With her permission I went ahead and used her engagement pictures on my website, and it will serve as a reminder to me that we never know how much time we really have.
This picture was taken as I left his hometown in KS the evening of his funeral. We will never forget Joel or his love for Jenny. I'm so thankful we didn't wait to take the pictures of the two of them. I love you, Jenny!

Happy New Year!

Hello all! I've been spending the week in MO with my sisters and family. We've had a blessed time together. The new year is set to bring some exciting changes to my business! Don and I bought a new house that has a 400 sq ft studio area arranged perfectly! I'm SO excited!! We don't close on the new house for another 3 weeks, but when we do I'll be posting the new address and location. It's right off of 68-80, so it should be a good location for most of you!! The address will be Hopkinsville.

The best part of this arrangement is no more dragging furniture around to make room for pictures. Also, a lot of you know that you've had to come after hours to order and that my husband has had to retreat to a bedroom with the kids. No more of that! We will be able to meet and they can function as usual. :)

Happy New Year!! God Bless you! I look forward to helping you make many new memories to keep in 2009, Always.... Sally

Last Chance to order in time for Christmas!!

Wow!! I can hardly believe how this month has flown by! We're down to a week before Christmas, so I need any last min orders to be turned in to me by tomorrow night so I can be sure to get them back before Christmas.

Remember, you may still purchase Gift Certificates until Christmas Eve. They make great gifts for expectant parents, engaged couples, families and High School Jr's who will be doing Senior pictures this summer!
I've still had a couple of last min sessions. These are some of my favorites from those!

Sorry about that! Most of you probably already know, but the site is back up now. Thank goodness!! If you sent an email that you feel I should have answered, please resend it. I don't know if anything got lost and I don't want to let anyone down!

Website Down

Hi everyone. I appologize, but my webhosting company is having trouble with the server that my site is on. It's not your computer! I'll post again as soon as I know it's back up!

Busiest Week

This has been the BUSIEST week I've ever had! I really really appreciate everyone's patience with me getting your galleries up. Everyone has been wonderful! I must have the best clients EVER! I thought you'd like to see what I've been up to. (Plus it gives me an excuse to take a break.)

This family was wonderful! Everyone was so cooperative and fun and it was SO cold! I felt sorry for the little girls, but they were very good sports...

This family had me come to their home to do pictures in front of their tree. I loved it because the pictures were truly unique!
...And for one last quick look. This couple had me out to their home and we discovered the beauty in an old house across the road. It gave color to an otherwise drab winter outdoors.
